This past month, our team at Civil Aviation Flight Training Center was excited to visit some of Vientiane's top schools and a language center: Pattana, SIS, KIS, and eTalk Center. Our mission was to share our passion for aviation and inspire the next generation of professionals.
Our presentations went beyond just showing what we do. We took a closer look at the aviation industry, highlighting different jobs that keep everything running smoothly. We explained the critical roles of:
Pilots: The commanders of the aircraft, primarily responsible for safety of every passenger on board.
Air Traffic Controllers: The silent guardians of the sky who guide planes safely.
Dispatchers: The master planners who ensure every flight is safe and efficient.
Flight Attendants: The faces of the airline, ensuring passenger comfort .
Aircraft Maintenance Technicians: The meticulous engineers and mechanics who ensure every aircraft is safe, airworthy, and performing optimally before it even leaves the ground.
IT SIM Developers: The tech wizards who build the incredible simulators we use for training.
After the presentations, the real fun began! We opened the floor for questions, and the students' curiosity was truly impressive. Their insightful questions showed a genuine interest in the field.
But the real highlight was the hands-on experience. We brought a flight simulator and an air traffic control simulator for them to try. The excitement in the room was contagious as students got a feel for flying a plane or guiding one from the control tower. It was an incredible way to show how the lessons we teach turn into real-world skills.
We want to give a huge thank you to Pattana, SIS, KIS, and eTalk Center for allowing us to visit and conduct these workshops . It was a privilege to meet so many bright, enthusiastic students. We hope we've sparked a passion for aviation in some of them and that we'll see them at our flight school one day soon!
