Internship

Hello, my name is Jonathan. I'm a student from the French International School in Vientiane (LFIV) and I did an internship at CAFTC/PACTEC from the 12th to the 16th of January 2026. 

Firstly, I tested a new exercise on the simulator.

After that, I participated in an Aviation English class with three students who all work for Lao Skyway. We talked about how important communication is for their job.

On the next day, I took a quiz about the intro flight and studied for the flight, I learned how to taxi and about attitudes and movements. The next day we drove to the hangar, completed the checks on the airplane like the tire pressure and the fuel. We flew on RDPL-34232, a Cessna 172. The flight was about 30 minutes, the visibility was pretty poor and there was a lot of traffic but we still had fun!

And finally I worked a little bit in the hangar with the maintenance team. They showed me the hangar and infrastructure. We cleared a container and also cleaned an airplane.

This internship gave me an insight into the professional world and different jobs in the aviation industry. And I would like to thank the CAFTC for giving me this opportunity!
