My name is Smith. I'm 29 years old, and I fly for Lao Skyway as a captain of the Xian MA60, a 56-seat twin turboprop aircraft.

My pilot journey began in 2014 at the CAFTC, where I had the privilege of being part of Laos’ first-ever pilot training program. I deeply appreciate the instructors who not only gave us their best but also cared for us like family. Their unwavering dedication, support, and belief in our potential made all the difference. They poured their hearts into this pioneering program, creating an environment where we felt supported and motivated to succeed.

Graduating from this program in my home country was a moment of immense pride for me. It wasn’t just about earning my wings—it was about being part of a milestone in Laos' aviation history, made possible by such extraordinary mentors and pioneers.
