The pilot training workshop we held on Saturday April 25th was a great success!

There was a lot of interest and out of 149 applicants, we were able to invite 44 to this all-day event.

Participants learned about CAFTC's pilot training program, the cost of training, the prerequisites, the selection and application processes and what the transition to the airline is expected to look like.

Activities ranged from receiving a tour of the office facilities to visiting the airplane hangar. Participants flew our simulators, watched and discussed some airplane crash videos and underwent a basic health check.

Several participants won a prize for answering questions correctly.

Captain Johnson Phommavong, a former student and now pilot with Lao Skyway, shared what motivates him and what flight training was like for him.

First Officer Lattanakeo Dalaphet, also a former student and now pilot with Lao Airlines, shared about his flying experience and answered questions.

At the end everyone had the opportunity to ask any remaining questions to a panel of pilots, mechanics and English teachers.

We look forward to seeing the participants again and hope to welcome some of them into our next pilot training courses!
