First Aviation Career Preparation Course

Today we celebrated the opening of a new course, Aviation Career Preparation Course (ACPC). Today is a significant day for the Civil Aviation Flight Training Center, LaoSkyway and Civil Aviation in Laos. Congratulations to the 20 students who have passed the pre-selection and have been admitted into this course! This course is an opportunity for all of them to learn aviation fundamentals which will help them in their future career as LaoSkyway pilots, flight attendants, dispatchers or other.

They will learn about Air Law, Theory of Flight, Human Factors, Aircraft Systems, Flight Instruments, Meteorology, Radiotelephony and Navigation. All of these subjects will be taught in English. In addition, the students will have an Aviation English class.

Students who get very good grades and pass the knowledge tests from the Lao regulator, the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA), will qualify to become LaoSkyway cadets and continue their training to become airline pilots - the first group to be trained from ab-initio to CPL ME/IR in the Lao PDR.
